• Born in July 1963 at Purulia to father Late Dilip Kumar Sen (Former Joint Director of Agriculture, WB and mother Late Chhabi Sen (Former Head Mistress, Kenduadihi Girls’ High School, Bankura.

• High school at RKM Residential College, Narendrapur 1981 (Class XI-XII)
• B.Sc(Tech) Ceramic Technology from College of Ceramic Technology (CU)
• M.Tech Ceramic Engineering from IT, BHU
• Ph.D(Engg.) in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering from Jadavpur University (JU)
• Served PDA College of Engg. at Gulbarga as Lecturer in Ceramic & Cement Technology
• Serving Govt. College of Engg. & Ceramic Technology as Professor of Ceramic Technology since 2014 after serving in different capacities from 1988 (for the last 35 years and more)
